* Spyker, Formula 1 2007 sezonunda Albers ve Sutil ile pistlerde boy gösterecek. 23 yaşındaki Sutil geriden bıraktığımız sezon üç grand prix’de cuma testlerine çıktı ve Japonya Formula 3 serisinde şampiyon oldu.

* Albers’in yeni sezondaki pilotlardan biri olacağını geçtiğimiz günlerde açıklayan Spyker, Adrian Sutil’in uzun süreli bir sözleşme imzaladığını duyurdu ancak kontratla ilgili parasal detayları vermedi. Müzisyen bir aileden gelen ve çok iyi derecede piyano çalan Sutil, “bu yıl F1 padoklarında olmak beni çok mutlu etti. Doğrusu 2007’de test pilotu olarak iş bulacağımı sanıyordum” dedi. Sutil’in gelişi, Portekizli Tiago Monteiro’nun yarış pilotu olarak devam etme ümidini de sona erdirdi.

* Spyker takım şefi Colin Kolles, test sürüşlerinde takımdaki herkesin Alman pilota hayran kaldığını ifade ederek, “bu takım için çok önemli bir imza ve ben şahsen gurur duydum” ifadesini kullandı. Ralf Schumacher, Nick Heidfeld ve Nico Rosberg’den sonra Adrian Sutil ile birlikte Formula 1 2007 sezonunda yarışacak Alman pilot sayısı dörde yükseldi. Almanya dışında sadece İngiltere’nin aynı sayıda pilotu var.
