– 32 ülkeden, 65 jürinin katılımı ile gerçekleşen Otomobil Oskarları diye adlandırılan Yılın Motoru 2010, 23 Haziran 2010 günü sonuçlandı. Yılın en iyi motoru, yılın en iyi yeni motoru, yılın en çevreci motoru, en performanslı motor, 1lt altı, 1lt-1.4lt, 1,4lt-1,8lt, 1,8lt-2lt,2lt-2,5lt,2,5lt-3lt,3lt-4lt, 4lt üstü motorlar isimli kategorilerde kıyasıya yarıştılar.

– VW’nin düşük hacimli TSi motoru yine ilk sırada yerini korurken, piyasaya yeni çıkmış 65 yeni motoru geride bırakan Fiat’ın MultiAir motoru en iyi yeni motoru seçildi. Fiat Powertrain Teknolojisi tarafından geliştirilen şu an Alfa Romeo Mito ve Guilietta modellerinde görev yapan bu downsize motor 1,4lt hacminde 170HP güç çıkışı sunmakta. Bu motordaki yenilik ise bir dizi yeni supap mekanizmasından ibaret. Kısma valfi kullanmadan hava direkt giriş supaplarıyla elektronik olarak yönetiliyor ve yanma odasına yönlendiriliyor. Geleneksel içten yanmalı motorlara göre %10’a kadar daha fazla güç, %15’e kadar daha fazla tork üretirken %10’a kadar daha az CO2 salınımı yapmakta. Amacımız ekonomik, çevreci otomobiller ise VW 1.2TSi motorunuda es geçmemek gerekiyor.

– Yıllara göre dağılıma bakıldığında Alman motorlarının yoğun olarak seçildiğini, Japon motorlarınında son yıllarda düşüşe geçtiğini ve İtalyanların ise tekrardan dirildiğini görebiliyoruz. Tabi ki burada ben bir otorite olarak değil sadece sonuçlara bakarak görebilmekteyim. Ülkemdeki benzin fiyatlarının neredeyse 1 kişinin günlük yemek masrafı ile kafa kafaya denk geldiği bir dönemde gözümü sadece düşük hacimli, yakıtı koklayan ve belkide ülkemde göremeyeceğim – kullanamayacağım motorlara çevirmiş durumdayım. Bakıyorum 1.4TSi motor en ucuzu 40bin tl ama araç baz donanım. Alfa Romeo’ya bakıyorum 1.4Multiair 25bin Euro+1.000tl fiyatla satışta. Sonuçta kendimizi seneye nasıl olsa daha düşük hacimliler gelecek 1,2lt, 1,1lt diyip kandırmaktan başka yapabilecek bir şeyimiz kalmıyor.
